Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg have topped the list of bookmakers’ favourites to win Group G in the 2021-22 Champions League after the first three rounds, according to international betting sites. They are the odds-on favourites with a chance of winning around 50%.
RB Salzburg have seven points and +3 goal difference out of two wins and one draw. The 1-1 tie came against Sevilla in the first round, while they won over Lille (2-1) and Wolfsburg (3-1) afterwards. Their odds to win the group equal 1.92 (-109 American; 23/25 Fractional), with the 2.40 (+140; 7/5) odds against.
Sevilla are behind RB Salzburg with three points, Lille and Wolfsburg have two points each with the latter being fourth in the table due to the loss to Lille in the head-to-head meeting. Neither of the three has gotten a win, solely draws and defeats.
Odds on Sevilla to get the first place equal to 3.00 (+200; 2/1), while Lille and Wolfsburg are priced at 7.00 (+600; 6/1) and 9.00 (+800; 8/1), respectively. Still, the chances of each club are higher than 10%.
Neither of the clubs in Group G is in the top 10 by probability of winning the tournament, however Sevilla is 13-14th with the odds of 60.00 (+5900; 59/1) and the chances of around 1.5-2%.
